The Hempel Hotel, London, were looking for a classy, slip resistant new floor surface for the Restaurant in the basement of their prestigious West End hotel.
Designer Resin Floors (a division of Specialist Industrial Coatings Ltd) were asked to lay a decorative, yet slip resistant floor to and old coach house / garage that was being converted for use as a gym, leisure and games room in a residential property in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Our client opted for a sand coloured solvent free epoxy resin as a base coat with a light scattering of light grey PVA flakes.

The floor had underfloor heating. We filled any gaps around the edges of the floor and an area where cables came through the floor with a special fast hardening resin mortar filler. This was followed by the main self smoothing epoxy resin floor coating system and the anti-sip flakes.
We then sealed the surface with a clear solvent-free epoxy
resin sealer coat.
